Grazias Vienna Cream Ale

After visiting Stone earlier in the week I looked at the maps and lists for where to go next and decided to go to smaller breweries closer to home. Mike Hess Brewing in North Park was visited on Thursday and Monkey Paw Brewpub was visited on Friday.

If you haven’t been to Hess in North Park, you must go. The impressive entrance to the tasting room is a catwalk above their new state-of-the-art Newlands Systems Super 30 brewing system set below street level. The well-designed tasting room is cool, hip, and relaxed. Great service is provided by knowledgeable staff.

I tasted six flagship beers: Claritas Kolsch (nice); Jucundus Orange Wheat (tasty); Grazias Vienna Cream Ale (this one is rated below); Umbrix Rye Imperial Stout (nice, classic); Habitus Rye IPA (nice); and Solis Occasus IPA (ok), and enjoyed them all. My favorite was the Grazias Vienna Cream Ale, so I rated it:  Appearance= 10, Aroma= 10, Palate= 10, Flavor= 10; Overall= 10
