Coronado Brewing Company by Coronado Ferry

A really fun way to visit Coronado Brewing Company’s brewpub/restaurant is by taking the pedestrian ferry from San Diego to Coronado Island. Breathe in the fresh sea air and enjoy stunning views of the San Diego skyline while crossing San Diego Bay to get a beer.

Award-winning Coronado Brewing Company is just a short two block walk from the ferry dock on the Coronado side of the bay. It’s the closest craft brewery to the water in San Diego County.

San Diego to Coronado ferries leave Broadway Pier every hour (9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.), and Coronado to San Diego ferries leave the Coronado Ferry Landing every half-hour (9:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m.). Ferries make the 15 minute crossing daily.

Tickets to ride the ferry cost $4.25, one way. Purchase tickets on the San Diego side at the Harbor Excursion Booth near the ferry dock, and from a kiosk at the top of the ramp on the Coronado side. Kids under 4 years old ride for free, and bikes may be brought along at no extra charge. Only Service Animals are permitted on board.

Note: There’s now a ferry running between the San Diego Convention Center and Coronado’s Ferry Landing. Click here for the schedule.
