Pack Light for a Fall Beer Trip

Fall months are a great time to travel to San Diego for a beer road trip. Kids are in school, most people are back to work, the roads aren’t crowded, and the craft breweries are open with fresh hops beers.

It’s also sunny and warm in the fall, so pack light. San Diego has a Mediterranean climate. Day time temperatures are in the 70s and at night, in the 60s.

When packing for San Diego, include light, airy clothes that you can layer. That way you’ll be comfortable during cool mornings and evenings, and ready for warm afternoons after the “marine layer” burns off.

Speaking of warm afternoons, be sure to pack a hat and sunscreen. During the months of September to December there’s a 70% chance for sun, so you need to prepare for it.

One last thing: Santa Ana winds are common in San Diego during the fall. When they blow conditions are hot and dry. Bring ChapStick and lotion for your skin.
